About

Bobbi Johnson is an actress and writer from Maryland, now based in New York City. Growing up as an only child of two pastors, she would entertain her friends in the back pew every Sunday with impressions of the expressive church folk around her. The acting bug officially bit her in a high school “Intro to Theater” class and she’s yet to stop searching for a story to tell. She cultivated her love for NYU Tisch School of the Arts, studying Lee Strasberg’s Method in 2020 under the tutelage of Robert Ellermann, Bill Balzac, Tim Crouse and many more.

In Film, recent credits include, short films On a Beautiful Wonderful Day, which was an official selection of the Accra Indie Film Festival and Transplant, which was an official selection of the Independent Shorts Awards. In Theater, recent credits include Lydia Diamond’s Stick Fly, at the Repertory Theater of St. Louis, which was named in St. Louis Magazine’s “2022 A-list Editors’ Choice Awards for a “masterclass performance”.
